Vanessa joined Wheeler in 2013 and specializes in tax compliance and consulting services for closely held businesses, executives, and high-net-worth individuals.
Her business clients include technology companies, construction companies, and professional services firms, and she has expertise in multi-state tax compliance and planning. On the individual tax side, Vanessa has extensive experience advising executives and high-net-worth clients on equity compensation and equity transactions, including the related tax planning and reporting considerations.
Possessing extensive experience in both public and industry accounting since 2007, Vanessa’s professional background includes financial reporting and analysis for a Silicon Valley engineering firm, as well as tax consulting and business accounting services at a San Francisco CPA firm specializing in high-net-worth individuals, their related entities, and closely held businesses.
Vanessa is committed to providing knowledgeable, practical, and timely advice to her clients. She works closely with clients and their other professional advisors, taking a collaborative and comprehensive approach to addressing their tax and financial goals.
Vanessa earned her Certified Public Accountant designation in 2010 and is an active member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys exploring the Bay Area’s parks, museums, and food scene. More recently, she has taken up the violin and enjoys running local 5Ks with her family.
