Kevin joined the firm in January, 2022. Kevin manages many client engagements involving multiple entities, family estate tax matters and international tax matters. He is directly involved with entity planning, foreign activities of US taxpayers, construction taxation, real estate and development taxation, as well as handling the tax and consulting needs of many other clients in various industries. He also represents clients before the IRS, Franchise Tax Board, Employment Development Department and California State Board of Equalization. Kevin has made numerous presentations on taxation of contractors and real estate investors and many other subjects. He has provided educational seminars for contractors’ associations and real estate broker associations.
Kevin graduated from San Jose State University and began his public accounting career at Armstrong, Bastow & Potter in San Jose. Kevin achieved tax manager leading the real estate, construction and international tax divisions of the firm. In 1986, the firm merged with KPMG and at the same time, Kevin formed his own firm. Kevin was managing partner and leader of all tax matters from 1986 to 2021 at Just, Gurr & Associates in San Jose, CA, a firm with a worldwide roster of clients from Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay and Germany.
Kevin became a CPA in 1981 and a California Real Estate Salesman in 2004.
Outside of the office, Kevin most enjoys spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren. He is also an avid roller hockey player, bass player and remote control sailplane flier. He volunteers his time as the Treasurer of the Sharks Alumni Foundation, which provides sports equipment and opportunities to underserved youth and past Treasurer of numerous youth sports organizations.
